*Death-By-Romance is not only my best friend, but the love of my life and he's the one who convinced me to join dA. I've been meaning to feature him for quite some time, but today (July 6th) is his 19th birthday and it just seemed perfect!

With a gallery of 500+ pieces, ranging from gorgeous photography, to digital work and literature, Steven's work has grown since his first days on dA. If you look through the progression of his gallery, I'm sure you'll notice. He's expanded his mediums, and definitely learned some things along the way. He's also helped inspire much of my artwork.

Here's a few of my favorites:




Also, in honor of this long deserved feature, I'm holding the 'Literature Interpretation' Contest.

About the Contest
For this contest, I am asking participants to choose one of the five photos by *Death-By-Romance below. Deviants should then comment their chosen one, and write a literature piece based on what they gather from the photo.

Contest Rules
1. Choose one of the five photos specified above.
2. Leave a comment on the photo that you have chosen. (No harsh words, please.)
3. Write a literature piece using the photo of your choice for inspiration.
NOTE: Prose pieces must be less than 1,000 words, and poetry pieces must be less than 50 lines.
4. Send a note to *mode-de-vie, with a link to your entry. Also include which photo you used. Please put your user name and 'contest entry' in the subject line.
NOTE: All entries not submitted in a note will be ignored.
5. ONE entry per person.

If any of these rules are not followed, your entry will become incomplete. You will receive a note back telling you what else needs to be done to complete your entry.
